DIRECTOR STRATEGIC PLANNING, MONITORING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

 Applicants should possess a minimum of a relevant Master’s Degree in Strategic Management or Marketing or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with at least five years’ experience in a similar or related position.  Experience in a university or any institution of higher learning set up would be an added advantage.

The Director will be in charge of the institutional strategy and business development initiatives.

Applicants should have a relevant first degree in Theology or Religious studies and a good Master’s degree in Theology and Religious studies. Preference will be given to
PhD holders who are able to teach undergraduate and post graduate courses in Theology.

Information and Public Relations Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing the University media relations strategy.
  • Coordinating all University public relations activities.
  • Managing media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Evaluating opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
  • Maintaining a keen understanding of trends in the tertiary education sector and making
    appropriate recommendations.
  • Photography, video filming, graphic designing and editing
  • Building and maintaining a positive brand image for the University.
  • Checking out and managing content produced for the University’s Website, Electronic and Print Media as well as Social Media Channels Writing speeches for the University's management

Desired qualifications

  • BA/MA Degree in Journalism, Media, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the public relations field.
  • Previous working experience in a University setup will be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Event planning experience.
