STAFF VACANCIES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following
positions that have arisen in the University.

FACULTY OF COMMERCE

  • Lecturer BCom Honours Degree in Accounting
  • Lecturer BCom Honours Degree in Public Administration

FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

  • Lecturer Bed Honours Degree in Information Technology
  •  Lecturer Bed Honours Degree in Educational Psychology
  • Lecturer Bed Honours Degree in Educational Sociology
  • Lecturer Bed Honours Degree in Curriculum Studies

Applicants for the lectureship posts must have at least a relevant first degree and
Master’s degree from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to Ph.D. holders
who can teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Senior Assistant Registrar- Human Resources
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
from a recognized institution and a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.
Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 6 years post qualification
experience in institutions of higher learning. Computer literacy is a must, especially
working with payroll systems.

Assistant Registrar – Academic Affairs
Applicants must have at least a relevant first degree in the discipline. Preference will
be given to candidates with a Master’s degree and at least 5 years post qualification
experience in institutions of higher learning.

Software Programmer
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or
equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 6 years post
qualification experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) especially c#.

Administrative Assistant – Academic Affairs
Applicants must have at least a first degree in the relevant discipline. Preference will
be given to candidates with at least 3 years post qualification experience.

Buyer
Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain
Management or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years
post qualification experience.

Support Technician
Applicants must have at least a National Diploma in Information Technology or
equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 3 years post
qualification experience.

Canteen Manager
Applicants must have at least a first degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or
equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 5 years post
qualification experience in institutions of higher learning.

Nurse
Applicants should have at least a Diploma in General Nursing. Preference will be given to
qualified nurses registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe. Candidates who have at
least 5 years post qualification experience are preferred.

Stores Clerk
Applicants must possess 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and
Mathematics plus either a National Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Chain
Management or equivalent. The incumbent must be ready to work during evenings and
weekends. Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant working
experience of at least two years.

Driver
Applicants must possess 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and a
clean class one (1) driver’s licence. Preference will be given to candidates who have at
least 6 years experience in an educational environment.
